If your spa has a blower, this check valve should be installed in-line between your blower and the spa to prevent water from back-flowing from your spa into your blower. This can happen when your blower is turned off causing it to literally siphon water from your spa into the blower. This back flow is not only dangerous, but will likely damage your blower and possibly the spa controller, too. The is a great safety feature that is worth the extra money.
