One of the more difficult tasks in any bath or spa project is repairing or replacing parts. Bath & spa pumps are definitely a more difficult task if you are unfamiliar with how the process works or the products necessary to complete your project. Over the years, Balboa Water Group has made a large number of the pumps in the industry. In face, they have made several hundred. 48 Frame Versus 56 Fram Spa Pumps

There are a couple of ways to determine what size frame motor you have. Generally speaking, you can look at the motor specifications located on the top or side of the motor, or you can measure between the thru bolts. These are the bolts that run the length of the motor and screw into the four legs of the wet end volute or seal plate. Since all manufacturers do not do everything the same way, the best way to determine is by measuring the distance between the thru bolts. This is consistent with all motor manufacturers.
