American Whirlpool Hydromassage Bath Pumps operate with an air switch and are 120v. They turn on/off with the push of an air button located on the lip of each bathtub. When you depress the center of the air button, it sends a coluum of air to the air swith located in the hydromassage bath pump motor to either cut power (turn off) or to turn the pump on.
