When to consider replacing

Notice reduced suction, unusual pump noise, or slow water movement in your Jacuzzi Whirlpool? The Suction Fitting (1643000) is a practical, efficient fix that helps restore proper inlet sealing and flow, supporting overall spa performance and energy efficiency.

How to replace in a few practical steps

1. Power off the spa and disconnect power at the breaker. If necessary, drain the area to a safe level.
2. Remove the old suction fitting from the pump inlet and clean the mating surface to ensure a clean, leak-free seal.
3. Install the new fitting, apply the appropriate gasket or thread sealant as per your spa’s guide, and tighten by hand before finishing with a light wrench touch—avoid overtightening to prevent damage.
4. Refill the tub, restore power, and run the pump to verify a secure seal and consistent suction.

Maintenance tips for long-lasting performance

Regularly inspect the suction area for signs of wear or cracks, keep the surrounding surface clean to prevent debris from entering the pump, and replace the fitting when performance declines to maintain efficient circulation and water clarity.
